Hey Moh,

Hi Hope you are doing welll....Lets talk about the fax mechanism.Lets us
assume a call sets up in some other codec like g.729/g.722 etc.Then either
party can initiate a FAX ..In todays time we have fax machines from where
we can first make a audio call and post that we can press the fax botton to
initiate the fax call.

So to your question the answer is yes.A party also can make a FOIP call and
to do so it will switch its codec to T.38 by sending a RE-INVITE message.If
you have any problem regarding a FAX issue please share me the signaling
trace.

NOTE:If the call is already in PCMU/PCMA then switching to T.38 is not
necessary as PCMU is good enough for fax stuff.
