[SIPForum-discussion] SIP Call to PSTN Networks

Hey all,

It is known that registration is NOT required to enable a user agent to use
a proxy server for outgoing calls. I need to know if this feature applies
only to SIP-to-SIP internet calls or in general. For example if i want to
call a PSTN/ISDN endpoint through my sip provider, is it mandatory to
register with him first?
