Thanks nithya! But i want to know the difference between the \"Path\" and \"Record-route\" fields, not \"via\"thanks\"Nithyakumar.R\" wrote Hi Anuj,                       Via headers are inserted by proxy to allow responses to find their way back to the client. They have no influence on the routing of future requests (or responses).             Record route also added by proxy and that have influence on the routing of future requests (or responses).         Please correct me if am wrong

The sip headers ,Path: and Record-route: are both used for forced routing through proxys, and are also added by the proxys themselves. What is then the difference between the two, except that Path is a 3GPP header.? Thanks in advance. anuj
