                               CALL FOR PAPERS

Hosted this year in the wonderful city of Chicago, the seventh IPTComm
conference is a continuation of a series of successful events devoted to
academic and industrial research in IP-enabled communications and services.
Promoting and addressing the ever changing technological landscape, the
conference addresses timely topics related to Mobility, Software Defined
Networking, Big Data, Information Centric Networks, new web-enabled
technologies like WebRTC, Cloud-based real-time media processing, Internet
of Things (IoT), and the integration of real-time communications with
traditional M2M systems.

The goal of IPTComm is to bring together researchers working in these
emerging fields in order to discuss challenges and share results, and
ultimately provide a solid foundation to support the progress of new
services and communication paradigms.

This year IPTComm will be co-located with the IIT Real-Time Communications
(RTC) Conference and Expo, <http://www.rtc-conference.com>
http://www.rtc-conference.com, at the Chicago campus of the Illinois
Institute of Technology (IIT). The RTC Conference brings together
researchers and educators, standards developers, and technical professionals
and executives from the data and telecommunications industry, standards
bodies, policy and regulatory institutions in challenging and engaging
discussions. The goal of the conference is promoting an open exchange of
ideas to lead future development in the rapidly changing field of real-time
communications. In addition to hosting the IPTComm Research track, the RTC
Conference will have tracks related to Web and Emerging Technologies
(WebRTC), Mobility, Cloud, NG9-1-1, and Policy. The demonstrations and
presentations in these tracks will complement the material to be presented
in the IPTComm track and serve as a source of new ideas and industry
research partners.

The IPTComm conference scope includes voice and video over IP,
Machine-to-Machine communications, enabling protocols like SIP and WebRTC,
Mobility, scaling, security, cloud, applications, emerging standards, system
analysis, reliability, and architectures.

We invite paper submissions addressing theoretical and experimental
achievements, innovative systems, prototyping efforts, case studies and
technological advancements. The list of topics for IPTComm includes but is
not limited to:

- Mobility

- Heterogeneous Networks

- Information Centric Networks

- Big Data systems and communications

- M2M and IoT.

- Software Defined Networking

- Social networking and Mobile IP communications.

- Compositional services and model checking.

- Voice over IP security and virtualization

- Cloud-based IP communication infrastructures.

- Virtualization of IP communication services.

- Rapid and Agile application development frameworks.

- APIs and enablers for IP communication services.

- Context-aware communication services.

- Telepresence and immersive services.

- IMS and NGN services.

- Protocol, API, and software analysis.

- Management of IP communications systems and networks.

- Overload and failure management schemes for IP communications.

- Log files and log file analysis for IP communication systems.

- Scalability of large-scale IP communication systems.

- Identity management for IP communications systems.

- Anonymity and privacy in IP communications.

- Forensics and diagnostics in IP communication systems.

- Denial of service detection and prevention..

- Open source development in IP communications.

- Research issues in vertical IP communication markets (e.g., privacy

in the medical field, location in logistical field, etc.)

- Regulatory issues in IP communications.

Paper submissions must describe original research, not published nor
currently under review for another conference or journal. The program
committee will referee all papers, and, as in previous years, accepted
papers will be published in the ACM Digital Library pending approval of
in-cooperation status. At least one author of each paper must be registered
and present their paper at the conference.

Papers submission is handled by EDAS,

Paper submissions should be 6-8 pages in length with 10 point font using

the two-column ACM conference format,

Paper submission deadline: July 1, 2014.

Notification of acceptance: August 7, 2014

Final camera-ready submission: September 1, 2014.

Conference Dates: September 30 - October 2, 2014.
