Hi Lisa,

Using a single or a pair of sip-router to route all signalling traffic beteween yours pbx  is one solution. Typically Session Border Controller can do it, but will increase the cost of your solution. Depending on the traffic an enterprise SBC will be enough.

In this way you can obtain other advantages like centralize DID route configuration on SBC instead of configurating in every PBXs. Other issues is that you can put on it bills CDRs, reports and monitoring. So PABX became only acces equipement, decreasing the costs,

If you go on it, let the SBC deal only with sip signalling and release de media. It's important do keep better rtp kpi´s.

Hope have been helpfull.

Regards
Fernando Octavio

We have a solution that acts as a SIP -PBX .  We are looking to
implement bulk registration in our product.  In the
case of  a Geo-redundancy situation ( 2 or more SIP-PBX in different
regions of the country, each with a different IP address but would be
servicing the same DID ranges), how would Register and Invite messages
be handled?

Thanks,
Lisa
