[SIPForum-discussion] P-Early Media header confusion

Hi Srinivas ,

Long time ...Good to hear from you !!!

Going by extract from RFC 5009 ,what i can deduct is :

        If UAC gets response having header "P-Early-Media:gated " ,then UAC
dont need to bother about gating media on/off  as proxy
        will take care of gating media on/off . In this case then what UAC
supposed to  do :
              1 ) Should UAC open both Uplink/Downlink channels ???
              2 ) Should UAC play backward early media or not ?

       Also i guess some media-direction  should come in P-Early-Media
header along with "gated"..like
                                P-Early-Media : sendonly ,gated
       Does header without media-direction P-Early-Media :gated make any
sense ??
