Hi Prashant,
You need to check terminating side carrier..what it is doing with the 18x messages if they are being sent by term UA..in case there is any firewall / NAT rules which is blocking the messages sent through a particular UDP port or a set of UDP ports..in case there is a customer SBC check what it is doing with the 18x ..any translation rules..any REJECT sequences..check the traces from and to terminating switch..

Thanks

hey prashant,

absolutely you need to check with the terminating side.As B2B ua will only route the call to the egress leg and will expect a provisional response from the terminating side.If terminating side is not sending any 18x response it is not B2B s fault.

In u r case the call is being cancelled by the calling party and terminating is sending 487 for the INVITE transaction.
if u have more doubt pls send me the call trace of both the legs or u can contact me in the below number

Abhisek,
in this scenario, we have B2BUA and termination carrier before it reaches the end user(UA).
then as per the below notes, we need to check with our term end carrier and UA.

thanks
so 18x should be

Hey Prashant,

18x message is always generated by the called party user agent. The 18x response might be anything like 180,181,182,183,etc.If the called party user agent does not generate the 18x response then its a definite problem at the called party user agent.

Things that you need to look after or check.

1.If the INVITE is reaching the destination user agent?
2.If the INVITE is reaching to the called party destination then if the phone originally rings or not.

3.If the phone rings then there MUST be a 18x response coming from the called party user agent.
4.Also you need to see isnt the 18x getting lost in the transit by any chance?

Please lemme know if this helps or not.
