[SIPForum-discussion] Issue to use Tag

Isn't the to-tag/from-tag used by the sending/receiving devices to route the call correctly, as the call-id could increment up in value if for instance a call is transferred and this is done by the re-invite, the call-id will count up by one?

why tag(i.e to-tag and from-tag) had been used if we can identity the call by using Call-id.
