Hi Ashok,

This is based on the what kind of SIP call controller you are using. If it has capbility to create it's own RTP stream. Otherwise you have to install third party media card for this. Like HK card , Signomore , Aduiocode etc ...

If you have come across opensource products Like Freeswitch , Open SER , they have capability to create it's own media stream. you don't need to have separate media card.

They download maximum codec type during installation and use this codec after codec nego.

    Is it really necessary to maintain remote MG(Media Gateway) to create RTP streams?If not what are possible way of creating RTP steams from SIP call control
agent and How does the Softphone works on windows machine?Is there some entity(Hardware) plays a part in creating RTP streams?
