Certainly, you can distribute load in certain circumstances using a  
302 redirect. For example, for simple INVITE traffic you can re-route  
to another device. But I wouldn't depend on every CPE following the  
302 recursion, and I'd want to test a lot before depending on it for  
some of the SUBSCRIBE/NOTIFY subscriptions such as Shared Line  
Appearance.

Is this speculative software development? I.e., do you have an actual  
USE for the software you're proposing?

And what device is having its load balanced?
