Subject: Switch Processor Load for SIP
Importance: High

In our network for Reliance Communications Mumbai, India, we are getting reports that Switch processor [Huawei MSOFTX3000] load is higher for SIP Message processing than it takes for BICC or ISUP Message processing.

Our Performance Experts are also confirming this fact.

Is it true? How does SIP Message processing takes up more CPU instructions to be executed by the CPU processor?

Please help.

For the current discussion, CPU processor is from Huawei MSOFTX3000 Soft Switch [GSM Network, Reliance Communications, India].

Thanks and regards
