Hi all, sorry for the previous mails, some problem with the formatting.I was looking for a way to send proprietory information in a sip call. I had posted a mail few days back regarding the same topic. The response was to a private header, but that is ruled out since intermediate proxies may ignore or remove such unknown headers. I found another way of doing it but don't know how far it will work. So i want suggestions on this mechanism. The other way is found is nothing but to use the information field in SDP. Refer RFC 2327.This field describes the session description. All I want to know is, can I send any information in this field.I saw an example in RFC2327 which is belowv=0o=mhandley 2890844526 2890842807 IN IP4 126.16.64.4s=SDP Seminari=A Seminar on the session description protocolu=http://www.cs.ucl.ac.uk/staff/M.Handley/sdp.03.pse=mjh@isi.edu (Mark Handley)c=IN IP4 224.2.17.12/127t=2873397496 2873404696a=recvonlym=audio 49170 RTP/AVP 0My requirement is something like t
he below:v=0 o=mhandley 2890844526 2890842807 IN IP4 126.16.64.4 s=SDP Seminar i= MGW: 172.21.208.26:8080 ( Proprietory information) u=http://www.cs.ucl.ac.uk/staff/M.Handley/sdp.03.ps e=mjh at isi.edu (Mark Handley) c=IN IP4 224.2.17.12/127 t=2873397496 2873404696 a=recvonly m=audio 49170 RTP/AVP 0Is this valid ? Please post your suggestions. The actaul intention of carrying this information is to establish a SSH connection with the call initiator.Since the call initiator's IP is not visible in any of the SIP headers at the receiving end across the public network,i am forced to carry this information.IS there any other way of achieving the same using a SIP call. Carrying the same information in INFO is ruled outsince a dialog cannot be created with the INFO message. Thanks and Regards,AyyanarDear JEEVANANDHAM KARTHIC KUMAR !
