I see many cases where the inband tones are coming from the terminating mobile switch. Also keep in mind that there is another standard, q1912.5 which also has a mapping of isup to sip cause codes.

Hi Anthony,

In most cases from the mobile network, when there is annoucements related to the subscriber the cause code which comes after it is "normal unspceified" which is isdn cause code 31..As per RFC 3398 it is mapped with 480 temporarily unavailable.

What about mobile networks that provide inband tones/announcments that the subscriber is unavailable? In that case there would be no 480. I beleive it would also depend on what isup to sip mapping you are using.

Hi,

If mobile phone is switched off, that means it is not registered and
no message will reach it. The domain node serving the unreachable user,
implementing location service will answer any request targeted to that user
with 480 temporarily Unavailable response.

Kind regards,

Hi,

I want to know what error code the UAS must give to client for calling to a switched off mobile phone?

What is the call flow ?

Thanks
