[SIPForum-discussion] Calling number in IAM

Arvind,



Calling party number is a optional variable parameter in the IAM message. If terminating party need the calling number then it can ask for that in the INR message and based on that it can process the call.

I just want to know that why calling number in not madatory in IAM message of  ISUP.And if the calling no. is not mandatory than how other pary will know calling's party number?
