Hello Guillermo,

look at

a=fmtp:18 annexb=yes

G729b stands for G729 annexb=yes;
G729a stands for G729 annexa=yes;

Regards,

Andrea

Subject: [SIPForum-discussion] Where the CODEC G729A or G729B is define

Hi Fellows.

One question I am trying to send send a Call to a specified Carrier and he is
telling me that I am sending the INVITE with codec g729b

And he are expecting to receive just
g729a, and he can’t send me his codec using 183/200OK SDP.

Seeing into the INVITE where is define
that I am sending g279b and not g729a,

INVITE

a=fmtp:101 0-15

a=fmtp:18 annexb=yes

a=ptime:10

a=rtpmap:13 CN/8000

This line(a=rtpmap:98 G.729a/8000)
doesn’t mean that I am sending G729A? or is the line {m=audio 56952 RTP/AVP 18 98 101 13} and a=fmtp:18 annexb=yes (b), that
means the codec out is (g729b)?

Guillermo
