[SIPForum-discussion] Regarding sdp session-id.

Dear All,

      Here are some doubts of mine regarding the SDP Session-id:-

Is SDP Session-id Unique across the Session regardless of Answer/Offer ??

According to RFC 3264 "If the answer is different from the offer in any way
(different IP addresses, ports, etc.), the origin line *MUST*
   be different in the answer, since the answer is generated by a different
entity.  In that case  the version number in the "o=" line
   of the answer is unrelated to the version number in the o line of
the offer".

 - If i am not wrong, the above statement say that the Session-id in answer
Must be different from that of Offer(due to any change in answer)????

Can anyone please tell me the concept of how session-id and version-number
are added/incremented in practice??
