Consulting Systems Engineer

Function Description:

As part of the Customer Engineering and Test Solutions team you will be
responsible assisting customers in the evaluation and deployment of the
products. You will support the field trials and deployments by providing
complete installation and post sales support. You will resolve complex
network design and deployment issues, establish and maintain technical
support relationships with assigned clients. You will resolve network
issues while educating the customers on our technologies and it's
application into their existing topology. Make recommendations on
product functionality, performance enhancements and supportability to
both customers and internal  engineering teams. You will attend meetings
with customers and partners to collect requirements or explain our
solution, providing assistance in understanding and resolving product
related issues in customer lab or live networks. Provide clients in
critical situations with complete support in troubleshooting, problem
determination and analysis by specifying timely resolutions or
workarounds. Working closely with development to obtain detailed
customer requirements and understanding how to build and deploy the
company's next generation products and supporting RFI and RFP proposals.
Candidate must have the experience and ability to develop training
materials and deliver through customer and partner training. 

 

Candidate must have strong working knowledge of IP Multimedia session
content, VoIP and network security technologies; IPSec, VoIP, Network
Security and IP-based networks and SBC's Security Gateways. VoIP
signaling protocols; SIP/H.323/MGCP/MEGACO. Prior experience with FCAPS.
Knowledge of SNMP (MIBs. Hands on experience with security implentations
based on (VPNs, Firewall, IPSec/IKE, NAPT and authentication subsystems
- RADIUS). Proven ability to configure and trobleshoot TCP/IP link
state, distance vector and multicast protocols and strong knowledge of
TDM & IP networks. Proven experience with test tools such as Smartbits,
Ixia, Agilent Router Tester and scripting languages such as TCL and
Perl. Candidate must have proven ability to work in a high performance
engineering development team. 

 

Minimal Requirements:

Minimum of 4 years IP Networking experience with BSEE/CS or equivalent 

Cisco CNNA/CCNP certification or equivalent experience 

Preferred 5 - 7 years IP Networking experience with MSEE/CS 

Up to 35% domestic and international travel
