[SIPForum-discussion] questions about the SIP length and SIP-URI max-length

Hi,all
Does the SIP protocal limited the SIP message length, and whether
the SIP URI has it's max length,and how long is it;
Any of your comment will be highly appreciated!

response of INFO, now I just want to check why there is no ACK for
</p><p>the secondary INVITE. You see, subscriber A with callwaiting call B,
after the conversation established, subscriber</p><p>C call A, UA will send
INVITE to proxy, proxy will response 100,180,200. but after the 200 for the
INVITE send out</p><p>from proxy, there is no ACK send out from UA. Perhaps
there are some error or some header missed in the 200

from your mail is that you are expecting<br />a ACK message for INFO that is
send as re-invite.In<br />fact this is against the ethics of SIP
standards.<br />ACK is never sent to Info message.<br />After a session is
established with(Invite->200<br />OK->ACK), Info message is sent with
confirmation 200<br />OK.<br />Never expects ACK message.<br /><br />Hope
