I'm sure I won't be the first to point out that this poster is only  
partially correct (while the branch is the same for 3xx-6xx responses  
to INVITE transactions, the branch in an ACK MUST be different for  
2xx-class responses), but I would like to call attention to a posting  
on the sip-implementors list that should be considered mandatory  
reading for curious about ACK behavior, specifically as it relates to  
branch construction.
