This depends on what you are doing with SIP. Anyway a couple of things which
I could think of is
1. No support for overlapped dialling (as in ISDN n/w)
2. Being text based it involves a lot of text parsing/ string
processing stuff and hence heavy on cpu

 2. Can anybody provide me the source code of SIP?

What do you mean by source code of SIP... SIP stack .. SIP phone ??
