[SIPForum-discussion] Difference between Via header and RouteSet header

Hello Retesh,

Let me try to clarify this....
Basically Contact is used to know do the binding of user contact in Registrar, and in a basic call contact is used to bypass the proxies once caller receives the final response of Invite i.e. "200 Ok",  Using the 200 Ok Contact,  caller can send ACK directly to callee with out using Proxy...(Stateless Proxy case), But is case of Stateful proxy, If proxy wants to present in every dialog/transaction, then Proxy will add Record Route, corresponding to that Route header will be added. So that next hop will know where to send the message that may be proxy again. One more thing to say that Contact will present in both Stateless and stateful proxy but Route header will present only in stateful proxy case.

Anyone please correct me If  I am wrong.

If that is the case ,the what is the Difference between RouteSet and Contact header..Even contact header is used to send subsequent request...

Can any one please tell me 
when exactly i should use RouteSet header(I mean ,For which request RouteSet Header is Mandatory
)
