  Subject: [SIPForum-discussion] INFO method

  Hi all,

I am curious about usage of INFO method. Actually, I need advice. I haven't noticed any practical solution that uses this method yet. Like it's not popular method for using today. Maybe I am wrong, but I have feeling that MESSAGE within dialog could do the same job; exchange signaling information among parties.

My intention is to send some additional signaling information important for upper application immediately after SIP dialog (with INVITE) has been opened. Questions are: What should I use? What is the preferable method today for such things? Is there some RFC that obsolete RFC 2976 (INFO)?

  Regards,
  Darko
