[Sipnoc24-attendees] Draft/proposed Eighth Report and Order was Deleted from Sep. 26, 2024 Open FCC Meeting

Hi Richard and everyone – I just looked and the item was placed on Circulation on 9/24. See screen shot below. See also https://www.fcc.gov/sites/default/files/2024-07/circulate-weekly.pdf

While the item is not on the FCC’s October open meeting agenda, the item will likely be adopted on circulation and released once it gets three votes. 

(note that the FCC’s website Items on Circulation <https://www.fcc.gov/items-on-circulation>  (non-pdf) indicates the item went on circulation on 9/4; however, that date appears to be a “typo” because (a) the item was not on the list prior to today, (b) the 9/4 date does not match the 9/24 date on the PDF Format hyperlink, and (c) the 9/4 date does not match the time of the FCC’s original 9/24  announcement the item was deleted from the FCC’s 9/26 open meeting agenda.)

FYI – Quick update on the above, I was told the Chairwoman’s Office has stated publicly that the item will move to Circulation. I have yet to see it on the FCC’s “Items on Circulation” list though. See https://www.fcc.gov/items-on-circulation. Perhaps we will see it appear in the next day or so.

This afternoon the FCC deleted <https://docs.fcc.gov/public/attachments/DOC-405764A1.pdf>  the draft/proposed Eighth Report and Order <https://docs.fcc.gov/public/attachments/DOC-405219A1.pdf>  (which was the subject of a fair amount of discussion during SIPNOC 2024 last week) from the FCC’s Open Meeting on Sep. 26. 

At this point, it is unclear if this item was adopted on circulation or if the FCC hit the pause button given the various ex partes filed last week. 

I suspect we should know one way or another in short order.
