Dear SIPNOC 2024 Attendees,

 

Please find some information below about various items of interest regarding
the conference.

 

SIPNOC 2024 Attendee Mailing List

 

By now, all of you should have received a welcome message from our mailing
list server informing you of your subscription to the "sipnoc24-attendees"
event mailing list. 

 

This mailing list will be used by the SIP Forum to keep you updated about
the SIPNOC 2024 agenda, special events, last-minute changes to the schedule
if and when they occur, reminders, etc.

 

Please note that this list can also be used by you to propose topics for
discussion with other SIPNOC 2024 attendees, ideas for on-site breakout
sessions, and for other networking purposes.

SIPNOC 2024 Hotel Reservations

 

Although the room block for SIPNOC 2024 is nearly full, there are a limited
number of rooms still available, so if you haven't reserved a room at the
Hilton Washington Dulles hotel yet, and you need one, please make your room
reservation ASAP! 

 

Also please note that the group rate expires at the end of today, and after
that the best available rate will apply to your reservation.

SIPNOC 2024 Receptions

 

Please note that the SIPNOC 2024 Attendee Welcome Reception on September
17th (Tuesday night) and the SIPNOC 2024 Beer and Gear Networking Reception
on September 18th (Wednesday night) includes delicious buffet dinners and
full open bars (with STIRed and SHAKEN martinis of course) -- so please come
hungry (and thirsty)! 

 

For those of you arriving in town on Monday, September 16th or earlier,
those nights are yours to make your own dinner plans. 

 

There will be information at the hotel about restaurants in the Herndon
area, including Reston Town Center, which is about a 15-minute drive from
the hotel.

 

SIPNOC 2024 Dress Code

 

A few of you have asked me about the dress code at the event: Business
casual please!

 

Temperature Forecast

 

The temperature forecast during SIPNOC 2024 is in the mid 70's during the
day, and low 60's during the night (temps in Fahrenheit).

 

Parking

 

Car parking at the Hilton Washington Dulles Hotel is free for all SIPNOC
2024 attendees.

 

Free Shuttle Service To/From Dulles Airport

 

The hotel shuttle bus begins its runs at 5:15 am - 12:30 am, and picks up
passengers at the airport on the hour and half-hour at curb 2A and 2H. For
trips back to the airport, the shuttle leaves the hotel at the 15's and 45's
of each hour.

 

BoFs (Birds of a Feather Sessions)

 

There are three consecutive BoF timeslots that have been scheduled into the
SIPNOC 2024 agenda the evenings of Tuesday, September 17th and Wednesday,
September 18th.

 

I encourage anyone who has a potential BoF topic to reach out to other
SIPNOC 2024 attendees on the attendee mailing list to solicit involvement!
If there is enough interest from the community, we will schedule them in!
