[Sipnoc] The SIP Forum Announces Dates for STIR/SHAKEN SUMMIT 2020

The SIP Forum announced today that it will host STIR/SHAKEN SUMMIT 2020, a
new two-day, mid-year educational conference focusing on the challenges and
opportunities related to the deployment of the STIR/SHAKEN Call
Authentication Framework. 

STIR/SHAKEN SUMMIT 2020 will be held in Herndon, VA on June 23-24, 2020 at
the Hilton Washington Dulles Hotel, and will build on the success of the SIP
Forum's last SIPNOC 2019 conference.

With the recent signing into law of the
<https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/senate-bill/151>
"Pallone-ThuneTelephone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement and Deterrence
Act", or the "TRACED Act" (S.151), by President Trump on December 30, 2019,
there is new urgency surrounding the deployment of STIR/SHAKEN within the
telecommunications industry.

STIR/SHAKEN SUMMIT 2020 will include a comprehensive "Certificate
Administration and Service Provider On-Boarding" training workshop focused
on providing a step-by-step tutorial on service provider registration,
testing, and certificate procedures, and expanded coverage on other issues
vital to the deployment of the STIR/SHAKEN Call Authentication Framework and
the ongoing efforts to combat illegal Robocalls and Caller ID Spoofing.
