1. You have to send PRACK only if 18x contains Require: 100rel and a RSeq header.
2. You can send the UPDATE, but you cannot send a new SDP offer unless the 18x is processed reliably (with PRACK/200).

Hi fellows,
 
I am having the following issue with a peer carriers conected to my GW. 
The scenario is the following, a call with a Invite which header 100rel, then the carrier response with 183 session progress and 180 Ringing, 
I was reading the RFC3262 and I am not pretty sure of the following:
1-Is strictly necesary that GW send a PRACK messages of the 180, before send any other messages in this case a UPDATE?
2- Could be that our GW is sending this UPDATE messages cause the peer is sending us in the 183 SDP Media Attibute information the Media Format value = 18 like [Unknown]?
