[SIPForum-discussion] Sdp attribute for Call hold

putting call on hold with a=sendonly adheres to new sdp RFC (not sure which ones the number is) whereas doing that with a=inactive follows the old sdp rfc. RFC 3264 talks about all these parameters. So none of them is wrong its just the old way v/s new way. Plus to send Music on hold you would need to use a=sendonly.

Hi All
Can anyone explain why a=sendonly is sent in offer from side performing HOLD ?I think a=inactive should be right way of holding call .Any specific scenario which explain when to use sendonly and when inactive

Thanks & regardsAnkur Bansal
