Hi ALL,

If there is a problem with codecs, the endpoint would send "488 Not Acceptable here".  Sending CANCEL in this case is implementation specific behaviour. Check if you have this.

As i said in another thread in this forum, maybe there is timer which triggers the CANCEL but this is also not standard behaviour (sending CANCEL in proceeding state). It is depends on the implementation. Check this also.

Murali,

The original Invite offered attributes that included G729a, G729ab and G729b, however within the 183 Session Progress the negotiated attribute
referenced G729, with an attribute that indicated 'annexb=no'.  Is it possible that one of the endpoints or switches are not properly selecting/accepting
the G729a codex selection and therefore terminating the call by sending the Cancel message?

There is no 'reason' parameter within the Cancel message, so my observations are simply an area to analyze.

I'm facing call failure issue to one SIP exchange.Call is terminated with 487 Request Terminated.
Please find the attached trace for the failed call.

Can anyone tell me what may be the reason for the failure?
