It all depends on the network topology, if both the endpoints are in the same subnet or can be routed then its OK if the contact is not changed. If the two endpoints are connected through the public internet then you need to change the contact to a public IP which can be achieved by a SBC or a SIP aware firewall.

   So, I want to ask what can my sip proxy can set in "Contact" header?   and my sip proxy is statefull.
