[SIPForum-discussion] Call Hold , How to validate during call Hold our session is alive?

Hi All,
During a Call Hold how to validate or check whether our session is alive or not.
I know media flow will be unidirectional, Is really media will be flowing unidirectional during call hold.
what parameter we can check to validate session is alive or not during call hold.
