The marker bit should be set to 1 for the first RTP event and 0 for all subsequent packets of that RTP event.

Subject: [SIPForum-discussion] RTP event and Marker Bit

HI All,

I understand that Marker Bit in RTP when set to True indicates a New Event.

In case of RTPevent packets, my understanding is the Mark bit should be set to True only upon a detection of new DTMF.

It cant be set to True on the RTPevent packets for the same DTMF, is that right?

Thanks,
Raghul
