[SIPForum-discussion] Proxy can change the From-Tag in the From header?

Not sure if you are talking about Via headers, But NO proxies will not change the from-tag. The only time a from-tag is changed is if there is a B2BUA element in the network, which will maintain the tags on each leg to do topology hiding.

At the first initial INVITE the from tag wont be changed. If the message is travelling with different proxies then each proxy will add their tags.
