Hi,

This should not be a problem and call will not be rejected.
Below is the basic session timer negotiation during the session establishment.

A                                              B
                        INVITE
                        Session-Expires: 1800
---------------------------------------------->

                        200 OK
                        Session-Expires: 1200
<----------------------------------------------

                        ACK
                        Session-Expires: 1200
---------------------------------------------->

Regards,
Sampath

Subject: [SIPForum-discussion] Session Timer

Hello All,

What if the session expires timer doesnt match between the ends, will the call fail?

Say if A end has session expires set to 1800 secs and minse as 900 secs and B end has Session Expires set to 1200 and Min Se to 900 secs, what will happen when A sends an Invite to B?

I know if the Session Expires in the Invite was 600 secs, B will reject saying less than MINSE timer, but what will happen in the above scenario? Please explain.

Thanks,
Raghul
