Hi Ashok,

If the N1 sends UPDATE message and N2 does not respond, N1 should re send the UPDATE messages based on some timers mechanism.
If the N2 does not respond at all, YES you are right in this case, 408 timout should be generated.

       I am trying to test a failure case where, when server receives UPDATE and for some
reason if it fails to respond or takes longer time, what action transaction layer takes here?
How this transaction is going to be completed? Is 408 Request time response is sent to the
other end?
