Hi,

You could look at the 3GPP Spec TR 23.824 which should give some pointers.

Solutions that I've come across (though not worked with):
Counterpath offer an SMS to IM solution as part of their Network
Convergence Gateway.
Jinny offer an IP SM gateway.
Tekelec also offer an IP SM gateway.

can anyone please explore how SMS can be transmitted through a VOIP
network. please refer some document/RFCs if possible.
Is there any free sip phone S/W to test it.
