Hi,

Below mentioned are the cases:

*a)Proxy will send reliable provisional responses if:*
--The INVITE request contains a SUPPORTED header, with option tag as "100
rel". The proxy might WISH to send provisional response reliably by sending
a 1xx message containing REQUIRE header with option tag as "100 rel". It
will be followed by PRACK from UAC and 200ok in response to it from UAS.

-- The INVITE request contains a REQUIRE header, with option tag as "100
rel". The proxy will MANDATORILY send provisional response reliably by
sending a 1xx message containing REQUIRE header with option tag as "100
rel" . It will be followed by PRACK from UAC and 200ok in response to it
from UAS.

*b)Proxy will NOT send reliable provisional responses if:*
--The INVITE request did not contain SUPPORTED header, with option tag as
"100 rel".
--The INVITE request contained SUPPORTED OR REQUIRE header, with option tag
as "100 rel", but the proxy does not support reliable provisional response
-- so it will send in its 1xx response a header field UNSUPPORTED with
option tag as "100 rel"
Regards,
Reuben
