Hello,

Yes, I agree with you, in either case they are able to transport diversion
information in SIP signaling.
In fact, the History-Info header is described in rfc 4244 adopted in IETF
(standard) and the non-standard (Informational, Experimental, and Historic)
Diversion header is described in rfc 5806.

Although the SIP History-Info header is the solution adopted in IETF, the
non-standard Diversion header is nevertheless widely implemented and used
for conveying call-diversion-related information in SIP signaling. So you
have rfc 6044 mapping and Interworking of Diversion Information between
Diversion and History-Info Headers.
