Just emailing to say thanks for all the help.
The 400 response was indeed due to being outside of a subscribe dialog. However, when deployed and tested again the actual target PBX it worked perfectly.
One outstanding issue, is that I have to send the NOTIFY message to the endpoint handset IP address rather then to the PBX IP address. I don't think this is normal behaviour; would anyone be able to comment?
