[SIPForum-discussion] Parameters to identify Re-INVITE

Initial INVITE could contain any of these values and a re-INVITE may not
contain any SDP at all, so not sure how looking at the SDP would help.

You identify through the SDP headers.

 

In SDP,

 

C=IN IP4 0.0.0.0

 

            or

 

a=sendonly or recvonly or inactive

If there is a tag in the To header it is a re-INVITE, initial INVITE
will not contain a tag in the To header.
