Initial Filter Criteria is the term used in IP Multimedia Subsystems ( IMS).
Initial Filter Criteria contains Service Triggering Information in IMS. IFC

Information
Trigger Point describes the condition that should be checked to discover
whether the indicated Application Server should be contacted. Trigger Point
contains multiple instances of Service Point Trigger ( i.e. Request-URI,
>From Header, To Header, etc) which may be linked with logical expresssions
(AND , OR , NOT ).
Application Server defines the Application Server that needs to be contacted
when the Trigger Points are met. IFC is part of User Profile Stored on HSS.
