Roy,

The "Record Route" header is added in case if the proxy wants all the
future requests and response to be routed through it. One application is
proxies that take care of billing do add the "Record Route" header so
that the proxy knows how long the session lasted.

Regards,
Ayyanar

Subject: [SIPForum-discussion] Record-route

Hi All,

when does a Proxy have to enter a "Record Route" entry? Every SIP
Request! And also every SIP Response? (communication is only between
Servers)

Scenario

UAS1 ------------- P1 ------------- UAS2
