Dear All,
I would like to know about the testing equipment used for the SIP interconnection troubleshooting. Like quality issues packet drops etc.

Thanks

Hi Bhanuprakash,

You may want to check out and test Moimstone (http://www.moimstone.com/) IP-215, IP-255, IP-270 and IP-315 IP hardphones. These support SIP over IPv6 configured either via manual (global unicast) or through stateless address autoconfiguration (SLAAC). These don’t support DHCPv6 yet. We use these now in our native IPv6 production network and have proven quite reliable and stable for the past 2 years. You need to apply the IPv6 firmware upgrade since the phones only have IPv4 support by default. The IPv6 firmware is easily available by requesting it directly from Moimstone.

Cisco IP hardphones also claim to support SIP over IPv6 although we haven’t had the chance to test and use these yet.

Hope the above info helps.

Regards,

Oliver
