The 'rport' sent in the request by the UAC does not include a value. The next hop SIP element sets the rport value in the response(s).

Does rport in via header require a value and rport is added by any hop that an Invite message transits (if the UA is behind NAT) and not by an UA, is that right?
Can someone explain more about rport with examples from any RFCs please?
