[SIPForum-discussion] using Fax with SIP+Asterisk?

If you need or not an ATA will depend how you want to terminate faxes, i.e. fax to email, or terminate fax in a traditional fax machine connected to an FXS
What will be the final topology ?
 
Fax ---  PSTN --- PSTN GW ()  - DAHDI (Zaptel) -- Asterisk --- ? -- (fax to email - User inbox ) or (fax machine ATA)

do any body have an idea on how to use fax using just SIP whthin Asterisk (asterisk 1.1.24.1 with DAHDI 2.0.4), do i really need any ATA device?
