Dear SIP Forum Members:
For those of you attending the upcoming Internet Telephony Conference and EXPO
East at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach, Florida next week
February 2-4, 2009), the SIP Forum will be reprising a special workshop on SIP
Trunking and SIPconnect on Tuesday, February 3rd from 1-4pm, in room B114-115 entitled "SIP
Forum Best Practices Workshop: Building Interoperable SIP Trunking Solutions
with SIPconnect."
As you probably already know, the SIPconnect Technical Recommendation is a
vital industry initiative that provides a standards-based approach for direct
IP peering and interoperability between IP-PBXs and VoIP service provider
networks.
This educational workshop, held in conjunction with the three-day Ingate SIP
Trunking Workshop at the Internet Telephony conference, will provide an
overview of the What and Why of SIPconnect, the SIPconnect Value Proposition,
a "Deep Dive" into the SIPconnect Technical Recommendation including an
overview of the new 1.1 version of the Recommendation, a Step-by-Step Overview
of the SIPconnect Compliant Program Application Process, and Lessons Learned
from Actual SIPconnect Deployments.
