Hi,
What you negotiate is codec G.729a, with annex B enabled by a=fmtp:18
annexb=yes.
Annex B deals with Silence Compression (VAD/CNG).
Regards,
Herve

Subject: [SIPForum-discussion] Where the CODEC G729A or G729B is define
Hi Fellows.
One question I am trying to send send a Call to a specified Carrier and he
is telling me that I am sending the INVITE with codec g729b
And he are expecting to receive just g729a, and he cant send me his codec
using 183/200OK SDP.
Seeing into the INVITE where is define that I am sending g279b and not
g729a,

This line(a=rtpmap:98 G.729a/8000) doesnt mean that I am sending G729A? or
is the line {m=audio 56952 RTP/AVP 18 98 101 13} and a=fmtp:18 annexb=yes
(b), that means the codec out is (g729b)?
Guillermo
