[SIPForum-discussion] How to find out stat of phone in SIP?

Hi,

Is there any mechanism in sip to find out the stat of a phone.

Let suppose we have one line phone.
When it is in talking stat then if I apply my query to phone it give Talk
State back to me.

Also if phone is off hook then I generate a message and it tell me that its
now off hook.

How can we achieve that..
