[SIPForum-discussion] Please Help to change codec from g711 to g723 in asterisk sip settings.give me step by step follow up.

Hi ,
 
    in asterisk g711 is their , and if u have installed g723 in asterisk than u would find g73 in asterisk .
     now two senarios are their ::
  1) If u want user to dila only with g723 than in extension which u have created in sip.conf
 
       than  do disallow=all , allow =g723
  2) If u wnat to transcode than in trunk u have to do same
       as above and all calls coming with other codec converted to g723 but it has drow back that it increases the B/W utlization per channel and cpu utilization .
