Subject: [SIPForum-discussion] Various authorizatoin schemes in SIP
Dear All,
I'm investigating various methods of 'Authorization' while Registering a
SIP device to the platform. In my experience with various service providers
across the globe, I noticed that each one of them uses a different method
for device authentication and registration. This will make it increasingly
difficult for VoIP CPE vendors to 'customise' their devices before testing
at a telco. I wish to propose a standardised methodology for this process.
Does anyone know any specific methods ? Or does anybody wish to propose the
'most common' or the 'best methodology' ? Is there any place where I can get
collective information on this ?
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
Abhinav Gandhi
