Hi Folks,
I have something interesting to discuss!
This is not directly related to SIP however i have observed it in SIP
client.
We all know that in specific network, network address and broadcast address
can not be assigned to any host in the network since it is used by internal
application.
But Linksys VoIP ATA (3102) accepts any broadcast address as its WAN
interface address. Now try to ping this address in the network, it will
work.
At the same time, you can also assign the broadcast address as Default
Gateway address in any Windows OS. So if you have soft phone on your Window
OS, try to call Linksys ATA on its broadcast address, it will work and two
way RTP will establish.
Can anyone came across it?

Thanks and Kind Regards,
Vivek Batra
